Princeton High School Football Team Improves to 5-0 With Win Over Winless Steinert

Saturday’s game between Princeton High School and Steinert epitomized how upside down the world of high school football can be.

Princeton defeated Steinert, 28-14, according to nj.com.

While Princeton improved to 5-0 one year after going 0-10, Steinert fell to 0-4 for the first time since 2005.

Princeton scored its four touchdowns on the ground, through the air, on a punt return and on a fumble recovery.

After a scoreless first quarter, Princeton jumped out to a 21-0 lead and never looked back.

Rory Helstrom put Princeton on the board with a 57-yard punt return for a score.

Princeton’s defense got into the act next, with a 56-yard fumble return for a score by Sam Smallzman.

Colin Buckley made the score 21-0 when he punched the ball in from 1-yard out.

Steinert pulled within seven points with consecutive touchdowns, but the Princeton defense allowed no more.

Dave Beamer rounded out the scoring with a 16-yard touchdown pass to Joe Hawes.
