Princeton High School Football Team Opens Season With Loss

Princeton fell to Hamilton West, according to nj.com.

PRINCETON, NJ — The Princeton High School football team lost its senior quarterback first, then went on to lose the game.

Vince Doran was injured on Princeton’s first offensive play of the game, a 39-0 loss to Hamilton West on Saturday, according to nj.com. Hamilton West’s Jordan Stroman hit Princeton’s backup quarterback in his own end zone for a safety in the first quarter to start the scoring. It was one of two safeties Princeton surrendered in the game.

Hamilton West quarterback Hezekiah Patterson threw three touchdown passes, according to the box score. He hit Barry Ndeh with two touchdown passes, including an 18-yard score in the first quarter and a 46-yard score in the second. Christopher Charles caught the other touchdown pass, a 49-yard score in the second quarter, and returned an 85-yard punt for a score in the second.

Princeton returns to action next Saturday, Sept. 9, at Pemberton, 11 a.m.
