Princeton High School Softball Team Makes State Tournament

The Little Tigers are the No. 11 seed in Central Jersey Group 4.

Princeton, NJ -- The Princeton High School softball team has a big mountain to climb, but it’s still in the running for a championship.

The Little Tigers are the No. 11 seed in the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group 4 playoffs, according to the bracket posted on nj.com on Tuesday.

Princeton visits No. 6 Monroe in the first round on Monday, May 23.

The winner faces the winner of the game between No. 3 South Brunswick and No. 14 West Windsor-Plainsboro South in the quarterfinals on May 25.

The semifinals are scheduled for May 31, with the finals at Kean University on June 3.

Princeton (9-9) won three of its first four games this season, and put together a four-game winning streak in the middle of the season. Princeton defeated Trenton, 13-2, on May 12.
