Princeton Human Services Launches Backpack and School Supplies Drive

The drive will benefit children from low-income families who attend the Princeton Public Schools.

PRINCETON, NJ - Residents can help Princeton Human Services Department to fulfill its mission to help children in need of school supplies and new backpacks.

The department's 13th Annual Backpack and School Supplies Drive is currently ongoing.

For the past 12 years, municipal employees, businesses, organizations and residents have donated bags and school supplies to benefit over 200 Princeton children. The items are distributed to children from low-income families who attend the Princeton Public Schools and are entering kindergarten through sixth grade.

Drop off donations at the Princeton Human Services office on weekdays between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The deadline for donations is Friday, August 5.

  • Notebooks
  • Binders
  • Folders
  • Loose-leaf paper
  • Pencils
  • Pens
  • Crayons
  • Markers
  • Scissors
  • Glue sticks, and other school supplies.
