Princeton Library To Host Launch Of Matthew Desmond's New Book
The event will be held on March 23, 6 p.m. at Nassau Presbyterian Church.
PRINCETON, NJ — Pulitzer Prize-winning author Matthew Desmond and writer-activist Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor will be in conversation on March 23, 6 p.m. at Nassau Presbyterian Church.
They will be discussing, Desmond's new book, "Poverty, by America." Journalist Andrea Elliott will introduce the speakers.
In his new book, Desmond, a professor of sociology at Princeton University, draws on history, research, and original reporting to show how affluent Americans knowingly and unknowingly keep poor people poor. He builds an original and ambitious case for ending poverty.

The event is free but reservations will be required. The Labyrinth ticket portal will open on March 1.
A portion of the proceeds from book sales at the event will be shared by the event co-sponsors, Housing Initiative of Princeton and HomeFront.
