Princeton Unified Middle School Evacuated After Bomb Threat
The students and staff were taken to Princeton High School.
PRINCETON, NJ - Students and staff from Princeton Unified Middle School (PUMS) were evacuated from the building on Wednesday morning after a bomb threat, school authorities said.
All students are currently safe, said officials.
"There was a bomb threat at PUMS. Based on police recommendations, we evacuated students and staff from the building," school superintendent Barry Galasso said.

Princeton Police said they received a call around 9:38 a.m. from the school stating that a staff member had discovered a note threatening that there was bomb in the school.
Once the school was evacuated, officers from the Princeton Police Department and the Mercer County Sheriff’s office searched the school with two K-9s.

The campus and surroundings were deemed safe around 10:54 a.m., said police.
PUMS students were taken to Princeton High School. They sheltered at the high schools Performing Arts Center, library, and the cafeteria.
"Social distancing protocols are being observed. There will be buses at Princeton High School to help with social distancing and/or transporting students home if necessary," said Galasso.
Police said the incident is still under investigation.
