Overwhelming Response To Princeton's Annual School Supplies Drive
Due to the overwhelming response from donors, this year the drive was extended to Princeton middle and high school students.
PRINCETON, NJ — As schools prepare to reopen soon, the Princeton Human Services held a Book Bag Drive to help families in need. This year, the 11th Annual Book Bag and School Supplies Drive received an overwhelming response from the community, with over 230 students receiving backpacks, said the department in a news release on Tuesday.
Each year, the department distributes backpacks to over 150 children from Grades K-12. Due to the staggering response from donors, this year the drive was extended to Princeton middle and high school students.
For the past 11 years, the Princeton Human Services Commission, municipal employees, local businesses, organizations and residents have been participating in this drive to help families in need.
