Learn to shoot creative portraits outdoors. During the workshop, we will explore the various qualities of existing natural light, from direct to diffused, as well as selective focus, color and composition. Students will learn to direct their subjects by taking turns posing. A prop or two can also be brought to the class — a hat, gloves, shoes, a mask — to add a bit of drama and artistry to the portrait. The class will take place in and around Washington Square Park, Philadelphia, including side streets and alleys.
