Princeton Pizza Joint Among Best Old-School Pizzerias In USA

PRINCETON, NJ — A Princeton pizzeria was named among the greatest old-school pizzerias in the United States recently.

The Daily Meal recently published its list of the greatest old-school pizzerias in the United States and Conte's in Princeton made the list.

"The Conte family decided to turn the ground floor of their family home into a bar and restaurant in 1950, and since then Conte’s has become a Princeton destination; a great old-school bar that also happens to serve some of New Jersey’s best pizza, thin-crusted and bubbly," The Daily Meal said.

Eleven pizzerias, including Conte's in Princeton, from New Jersey made the list.

The 10 others were: Reservoir Tavern of Boonton, Rome Pizza of Dunellen, Pizza Town USA in Elmwood Park, Santillo's Brick Oven Pizza and Spirito's Restaurant, both of Elizabeth, Star Tavern of Orange, Vic's Italian Restaurant in Bradley Beach, Benny Tudino's of Hoboken, Papa's Tomato Pies in Robbinsville, and Patsy's Tavern in Paterson.
