Princeton Police Accepting Applications for 2026 Citizens Academy

The free eight-week program gives residents an inside look at policing, investigations and more. Classes begin April 16.

PRINCETON, NJ - The Princeton Police Department is accepting applications for its 2026 Citizens Academy, with limited spots remaining, the department said.

The program runs every Thursday from April 16 through June 4 at Princeton Police headquarters, 1 Valley Road, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

The academy is open to the first 20 eligible applicants.

Participants will receive an inside look at police operations, investigations and traffic enforcement, taught by officers who serve the community. The program also offers opportunities to ask questions and engage directly with the department.

To be eligible, applicants must be Princeton residents and able to attend at least six of the eight sessions. To access the applications, click here.
