Princeton Police Urge Caution As Snow Blankets Region

BREAKING: Road conditions have begun to deteriorate.

PRINCETON, NJ — Road conditions have begun to deteriorate in the Princeton area, police warned drivers on Friday. Anyone who must drive is urged to use extra caution.

All bridges in West Windsor Township are iced over, and there are accidents on every major road, according to police. The Department of Public Works and the county have been notified of the issues with the bridges, as conditions deteriorate to unsafe levels.

Robbinsville/Meadowbrook is blocked by an accident. Crews are out salting.

Here are some traffic updates, according to 511nj.org:

  • As of 5:27pm, there's an Accident on the New Jersey Turnpike outer roadway northbound South of Interchange 7A - I-195 in Hamilton Twp. Right shoulder blocked.
  • As of 5:30pm, there are Delays on NJ 29 southbound approaching Thunder Rd/Cass St in Trenton delays due to volume.
  • As of 5:11pm, there are Delays on US 1 northbound from I-295 in Lawrence Twp to Harrison St in West Windsor Twp delays due to volume.
  • As of 5:11pm, there are Delays on I-195 in both directions from I-295 in Hamilton Twp to Exit 16 - CR 537/Great Adventure in Jackson Twp.
  • As of 5:10pm, there are Delays on I-95 northbound approaching US 1/I-295 in Lawrence Twp delays due to volume.
  • As of 5:00pm, there are Delays on I-95 southbound from Exit 3 - Scotch Rd in Hopewell Twp to Delaware River/Scudder Falls Bridge in Ewing Twp delays due to volume.
  • As of 4:56pm, there are Delays on US 1 southbound from Alexander Rd in West Windsor Twp to I-295 in Lawrence Twp delays due to volume.
  • As of 12:02pm, there's Construction on NJ 29 in both directions between West Upper Ferry Rd and NJ 175/Scenic Dr in Ewing Twp. 1 lane closed until 11:59 P.M. on December 18, 2017, use caution.
