PRINCETON, NJ —A Princeton restaurant and pub is among 20 bars, restaurants, breweries and liquor stores charged with violating Gov. Phil Murphy's executive orders related to the new coronavirus.

The Alchemist and Barrister at 28 Witherspoon St. faces suspension of their liquor license for at least 10 days, according to the State Attorney General.

Under Murphy's order businesses licensed to sell alcohol in the state were allowed to stay open, but only for take-out or delivery services of food and alcohol. Table or bar service is not allowed, on premise alcohol consumption is prohibited, and alcoholic beverages "to go" must be in sealed original containers.

Juliano’s Restaurant in Egg Harbor Township also received a $500 fine for offering investigators a beer before they identified themselves. The Liquor King in Pennsauken also received a $750 fine for violation of face mask requirements.
