Princeton Public Library to reopen building Feb. 17

Princeton Public Library will be reopen Wednesday Feb. 17, after a 24-day closure due to COVID-19, Executive Director Jennifer Podolsky announced today.

“We’re grateful for the many people who took the time to express their concerns about the health of our staff and we thank the community for its patience during this closure,” Podolsky said. “We closed out of an abundance of caution and are looking forward to welcoming the public back into the building tomorrow.”

The library will return to a six-day-a-week schedule. The building will be open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday-Saturday, with evening hours 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday. Contactless pickup of items ordered in the library’s online catalog, which resumed Feb. 8, will continue 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday; 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

“We know many in the community are eager to return to the building and we are happy to be reopening,” Podolsky said. “We will continue to follow the advice of the municipal Health Department and the protocols approved by our Board of Trustees, keeping the safety of the public and staff foremost in mind.”
