PPS food service workers threaten to strike over benefits

Cafeteria workers in the Princeton Public School system are claiming Nutri-Serve, the district’s new food management company, took away their health insurance and sick day benefits, and are threatening to strike.
Twenty Princeton public school food service workers are threatening to strike after saying the food management company will not give any ground on their demands and restore the benefits they had before, according to the Times of Trenton.
Some food service workers appeared before the school board this week, claiming Nutri-Serve made these changes without union consent, the Times of Trenton reports.

Nutri-Serve signed a $61,245 food service contract with the Prince Public School system for the 2014-15 school year.
