Princeton Ranked Among the Top 30 Small Towns to Live In
Princeton was No. 29 on Livability.com's list of the top 100 best small towns in the United States.

It doesn’t get much better than Princeton.
Princeton was recently named among the top 100 best small towns in the United States by Livability.com, a website that ranks the most livable small and mid-sized cities in the United States.
Princeton is No. 29 on the list.

According to the website, towns were ranked using “more than 40 data points each for more than 12,000 towns with populations between 1,000 and 20,000. These scores were weighted based on an exclusive survey conducted for Livability by the leading global market research firm, Ipsos Public Affairs.”

Livability describes Princeton’s School District as “admired,” and touts the presence of Princeton University, Westminster Choir College and Princeton Theological Seminary.
It calls Princeton’s housing choices “diverse” and points to Herrontown Woods, which features an arboretum, walking trails and wildlife viewing areas.
It does mention Princeton’s homes are more expensive than homes in other towns, but says residents are “buying into the community.”
Madison was the only other town from New Jersey to make the list. It is ranked No. 24.
