Princeton - Really? - Among Top 100 'Redneck' Towns In N.J., Report Says

Ocean City? Manasquan? Princeton??? Among the ”most redneck” places in New Jersey?

Again, we ask: Really?

Roadsnacks, the same site that gave us the towns with the highest rate of Ashley Madison “cheaters,” as well as the worst towns in New Jersey, has also put together a subjective list of the most ”redneck” places in New Jersey.

And you’ll be surprised by some of the choices (see list below).

The Roadsnacks.net site is a data compiler that rates cities on various topics. According to the site, the following criteria were used to determine how “redneck” a town is:

• Small towns
• Least amount of high school graduates
• Number of bars per city
• Number of mobile home parks per capita
• Number of tobacco stores per city
• Number of places to get fishing gear
• Number of guns and ammo stores per city
• Walmarts, Golden Corrals, Bass Pro Shops, and Dollar Generals nearby

Roadsnacks did sound somewhat apologetic, saying: “We heard from several people that Atco, N.J. should be on here. We agreed, however, Atco, and other necky places like it are townships, and we didn’t measure townships. Sounds like we should have though.”
