Princeton’s Share My Meals Awarded Grant To Fight Food Insecurity

The non-profit will continue its work of providing meals to food insecure residents of the Princeton area.

PRINCETON, NJ – Princeton-based non-profit, Share My Meals, received a $175,000 grant from the New Jersey Economic Development Authority to continue its efforts in fighting food insecurity.

The grant was received under the Sustain and Serve NJ Program and funds were allocated in phase 2.

"We are grateful for the additional funding that will allow us to continue to run our COVID-19 program until we will be able to reach the full potential of our Waste Watcher Program," Share My Meals President Isabelle Lambotte said in a statement.

The non-profit was started in January 2020, offering a solution to food insecurity and food waste by building partnerships with food service providers and distributing their surplus meals to the local food-insecure population.

Since its inception, Share My Meals has delivered over 93,000 meals in Princeton, Montgomery, Lawrenceville, and Trenton.
