Princeton School District, Teachers Reach Agreement On Tentative Contract Extension
The current contract would be extended until 2020, according to Planet Princeton.

PRINCETON, NJ — It looks like the current contract for teachers in the Princeton Public School District will be extended two years, Planet Princeton reports. The contract was ratified in 2015, and was set to expire in 2018. The tentative agreement between the school district and the teachers union would extend that contract through 2020.
School officials say the deal will help them focus on the district’s strategic plan as opposed to contract negotiations, according to the report.
Under the contract, teachers received a 2.66 percent salary increase the first year; a 2.67 increase the second year; a 2.50 increase the third year; and a 2.63 percent increase in the final year. Longevity pay is eliminated in the fourth year under the new contract, and will become part of a new step system.
