Princeton Schools To Close For 2 Weeks, Start Alternate Plan
All Princeton Public Schools will close through March 27 and implement a learning from home plan due to new coronavirus concerns.
PRINCETON, NJ — All Princeton Public Schools will close through March 27 and implement a learning from home plan due to new coronavirus concerns., school officials announced late Thursday night.
"During this time period, students will be learning from home with virtual support from their teachers. Following this two week period, we will re-evaluate the continued implementation of remote learning based on guidance from our public health officials. We believe this decision is ultimately in the best interest our students, our staff, and our entire community," Princeton Superintendent Steve Cochrane said.
Friday, as already planned, will be an early release day. Students are asked to be prepared to bring home at the end of the day any materials they may need to engage in remote instruction, including musical instruments, textbooks, computers, reading materials, athletic equipment, etc, Cochrane said.

Remote learning instructions will be sent home on Friday.
"It is important to note that remote learning does not mean that our schools will be 'closed.' Our buildings will be open and many staff will be present to answer questions and offer support," Cochrane said.
