Princeton Schools Closed On Friday

Schools are closed for inclement weather.

PRINCETON, NJ — Students in the Princeton Public School District will have a four-day weekend thanks to Mother Nature. The Princeton Public School District will be closed on Friday. The schools were also closed on Thursday.

"We appreciate the diligence with which the Department of Public Works and our Buildings and Grounds crews have worked to clear the snow from our town roads and school properties," Princeton Superintendent of Schools Dr. Steve Cochrane said. "However, with the continued wind and blowing snow, it's uncertain if roads and sidewalks will be passable (Friday) morning. In the interest of the safety for our students and our staff, some of whom would have to travel on roads that are in much worse conditions than those in Princeton, we have decided to close the Princeton Public Schools again on January 5, 2018. Because of the poor road conditions throughout Mercer County, all surrounding districts are remaining closed as well. Once again, this closure includes events during the day as well as any events scheduled in our buildings during the evening."
