Princeton Schools To Go All-Remote Next Week
The school district will open for hybrid learning on Jan.19

PRINCETON NJ – Princeton Public School will be delaying the start of hybrid instruction until Jan.19, school superintendent Barry Galasso said on Thursday.
The decision was made after the town saw a spike in the number of COVID –19 cases post the holiday season.
“We need an extra week to allow students and staff to quarantine given the numbers of people who potentially have been exposed to the virus. Like other districts in Mercer County, we want to choose the prudent course by continuing with remote learning until January 19,” Galasso told the school community in a letter.

Beginning Jan. 19, the school district will follow a model that will see an increase in in-person classes for Kindergarten and First Grade students signed up for hybrid learning. Students can now expect in-person instruction for four days a week, instead of two.
Galasso also encouraged PPS staff to sign up for the COVID-19 vaccine on the Princeton registration portal and the state-run portal.
