Princeton Schools To Go All-Remote On Thursday
Superintendent Barry Galasso said there could be a possibility for 'snow day' on Thursday, based on weather conditions.

Princeton, NJ – Princeton Public Schools will go all-remote on Thursday.
In a message to the school community, superintendent Barry Galasso said there could be a “possibility of a traditional snow day on Thursday, with no remote learning.”
The decision on that will be made on Wednesday night based on weather conditions and potential for power outages and connectivity issues.

A "major" nor'easter is expected to impact Princeton on Wednesday, producing snow or heavy rain and packing 35 to 55-mph winds.
Wednesdays are usually remote learning days for the district’s four elementary schools. But due to the weather, "we will now offer in-person instruction for Cohort B on Wednesday at our four elementary schools,” said Galasso.

On Wednesday, dismissal at the elementary schools will be at 12:30 p.m., allowing students, teachers and staff time to get home safely. Thursday will be remote day at the elementary level instead of Wednesday.
“I hope this pivot to in-person on Wednesday for elementary students and remote for all schools on Thursday will be helpful to our students,” he said.
The school district said it will take a decision on whether having middle and high school students do an in-person day on Friday, based on the weather forecast for Thursday and Friday.
The National Weather Service said the storm will be fierce enough to knock down power lines and cause power outages, packing gale-force winds as strong as 35 to 55 mph across the state between 7 a.m. on Wednesday and 7 a.m. on Thursday.

State officials said they have readied more than 400 pieces of road equipment to make the roads safe.
