Princeton Teachers Are Highest Paid In Mercer County
The state released information of teachers' median salaries for the 2019-20 school year. See where Princeton stacks up:
PRINCETON, NJ — Princeton teachers are the highest paid in Mercer County, according to information released by the state for the 2019-20 school year.
Princeton Public Schools pays teachers a median salary of $82,589 which is the highest median amount paid in Mercer County and 40th highest in the state.
The median salary is 1.23 percent more that last year.

Princeton teachers also make more than the state median of $68,985, a 1.6 percent increase over last year. Overall, 232 school districts pay more than the state median.
The released information is part of the state Department of Education's Taxpayer's Guide to Education Spending that was just released, showing the median salary in every New Jersey school district and charter school.
