Princeton University A Finalist In Most Beautiful College Campus Contest

Princeton University is one 20 finalists in the national Travel and Leisure competition.

PRINCETON, NJ — Princeton University has one of the most beautiful campuses in the country, and students, residents and alumni can now make sure it ranks No. 1 thanks to a new online poll.

It is one of 20 campuses that qualified as a finalist in Travel and Leisure’s Most Beautiful College Campus contest for 2017. It is one of three local finalists, along with Bryn Mawr and Lehigh.

It also faces some stiff competition from Duke, Northwestern and UCLA, among others. It is the only Ivy League university on the list. To vote, visit travelandleisure.com. Voting continues through July 6.

In March, Princeton University represented New Jersey in Travel and Leisure’s list of Most Beautiful College In Each State.

Earlier this year, the university also scored among the highest on PayScale’s 2017 College ROI Report: Best Value Colleges list, which focuses on a 20-year net return on investment.

Win, lose or draw, Princeton University plans on adding to its beautiful landscape in the coming years. In April, it announced it is considering putting a new undergraduate residential college south of Poe Field and east of Elm Drive.

It is also considering potential sites for the expansion of engineering and environmental studies along the north side of Ivy Lane and Western Way, west of FitzRandolph Road. It is also considering the development of land it owns south of Lake Carnegie in West Windsor, to be used for teaching and research.
