Princeton University Football Team Begins Final Push at Yale This Weekend
Princeton is in a three-way tie for second place with Yale and Dartmouth, and plays each team over the next two weeks.

The Princeton University football team begins its final push for second place, and possibly a league title, this weekend.
The Tigers (5-3 overall, 4-1 in the Ivy League) visit Yale (7-1, 4-1) on Saturday, 12:30 p.m.
Princeton and Yale are currently involved in a three-way tie with Dartmouth (6-2, 4-1) for second place.

Dartmouth hosts Brown (4-4, 2-3) on Saturday, and visits Princeton in next weekend’s season finale.

All three teams are one game behind Harvard (8-0, 5-0) with two games to go. Harvard hosts Penn (1-7, 1-4) on Saturday and Yale next weekend.
Princeton can still win its second consecutive Ivy League title with wins each of the next two weeks and two losses by Harvard in its final two games. While this scenario seems unlikely, Princeton controls its own destiny for second place.
It will prove difficult, though, beginning this weekend against a Yale team that became the first Ivy League team to defeat a Division I FBS team since 1986 when it defeated Army earlier this season.
Yale quarterback Morgan Roberts leads the league in passing touchdowns (19), yards (2,520), passing yards per game (315) and completion percentage (69.4), according to stats posted on ivyleague.com.
Yale running back Tyler Varga leads the league in rushing touchdowns (18), rushing yards (1,159), rushing yards per game (144.9) and rushes (177). He’s second in yards per rush with 6.5.
Yale wide receiver Grant Wallace leads the league in receiving yards (863) and receiving yards per game (107.9), and is second in touchdowns (5), receptions (61) and yards per catch (14.1). Wide receiver Deon Randall is tops in receiving touchdowns (6) and second in yards (777), yards per game (97.1) and receptions (61).
Princeton quarterback Quinn Epperly is second in the league in rushing touchdowns with nine, while DiAndre Atwater leads the league in yards per rush (7.4). Epperly has thrown for 905 yards and four touchdowns, while Connor Michelson has thrown for 1,202 yards and seven touchdowns.
Princeton has won two games in a row, defeating Cornell, 38-27, and Penn, 22-17.
Yale is riding a four-game winning streak since its loss to Dartmouth.
