Princeton University Football Team Ends Season With Third Straight Loss

The Tigers finished the season with a 5-5 record overall, and a 2-5 mark in the Ivy League.

The Princeton University football team ended the season with three straight losses, dropping a 17-10 decision to Dartmouth on Saturday, according to espn.

Princeton’s most recent defeat came after the Tigers either led or were tied the entire game.

Dalyn Williams’ game-winning 12-yard touchdown pass to Kyle Bramble didn’t come until there were 24 seconds left in the game.

Princeton took its first lead of the game in the second quarter, when DiAndre Atwater scored on a 1-yard run. The Tigers held the lead at halftime, but Dartmouth tied the game early in the third quarter.

Nolan Bieck’s 21-yard field goal gave the lead back to Princeton, but Alex Gakenheimer’s 22-yard field goal tied the game with 4:54 in the fourth, setting up the game-winner for Dartmouth.

Princeton’s last win came on Halloween. It finished the season with a 5-5 record overall, and a 2-5 mark in the conference.

Dartmouth finished the season 9-1 overall, 6-1 in the Ivy League. It shared the conference title with Harvard (9-1, 6-1) and Penn (7-3, 6-1). It is the first time since 1982 the Ivy League title race ended in a three-way tie.
