Princeton University Football Team Falls out of Conference Title Contention With Loss to Penn
Penn defeated Princeton in overtime on Saturday.

The Princeton University football team was knocked out of contention for an Ivy League championship when it dropped a 26-23 overtime decision at Penn on Saturday, according to espn.com.
Princeton carried a 20-17 lead into the fourth quarter, but a 42-yard field goal from Penn’s Jimmy Gammill with three minutes, 22 seconds left in regulation forced overtime. It was Gammill’s second field goal of the day.
The Tigers scored first in overtime, on a 42-yard field goal from Nolan Bieck, his third of the game.

Penn answered with the game-winning touchdown, on an 11-yard pass from Alex Torgerson to Eric Fiore. Torgerson completed 21-of-27 passes for 178 yards and the score.
Joe Rhattigan carried the ball 30 times for 108 yards and two touchdowns for Princeton, which fell to 5-3 overall and 2-3 in conference play. Both of his touchdowns came in the second quarter.

Chad Kanoff completed 26-of-42 passes for 218 yards.
Tre Solomon had two touchdown runs for Penn, which improved to 5-3 overall and 4-1 in the conference.
Princeton was knocked out of contention for the conference title when Harvard defeated Columbia, 24-16, to improve to 8-0 overall, 5-0 in the conference.
Harvard hosts Penn next Saturday with first place on the line.
Princeton hosts Yale (5-3, 2-3) next Saturday.
