From the West

Take the Massachusetts Turnpike east to Exit 18 (Allston/Cambridge). After paying toll, bear left at fork towards Allston. Turn right at second set of lights onto North Harvard Street. Proceed approximately one mile. The following facilities will be on your left: Harvard Stadium, Bright Hockey Center, Blodgett Pool, Palmer Dixon Tennis Courts, Beren Tennis Center, Gordon Track, Cumnock Field, Jordan Field, O’Donnell Field, and the softball field. Ohiri Field, used for soccer, will be on your right. For football, men’s ice hockey, and men’s basketball, you must have a Gate 8 parking pass to enter at this location. Public parking is available for football at Gate 14, which is accessible from Soldiers Field Road.

From the North

Take I-93 south to Storrow Drive exit. Take Storrow Drive west for approximately five miles. Exit at Harvard Square/North Harvard Street. At top of exit, turn left onto North Harvard Street . Approximately 1/4 mile on your right will be the entrance for Harvard Stadium, Bright Hockey Center, Blodgett Pool, Palmer Dixon Tennis Courts, Beren Tennis Center, Gordon Track, Cumnock Field, Jordan Field, O’Donnell Field, and softball field. Ohiri Field, used for soccer, will be on your left. For football, men’s ice hockey, and men’s basketball, you must have a Gate 6 parking pass to enter at this location. Public parking for football is available at Gate 14, which is accessible from Soldiers Field Road.

From the South

Take I-95 north to I-93 north. Follow I-93 until Exit 20 (Massachusetts Turnpike). Take Mass. Pike west to Exit 20 (Allston/Cambridge). After paying toll, bear left at fork towards Allston. Via M.B.T.A.

The Red Line subway stops at Harvard Square. The Soldiers Field Complex is a 10-minute walk from the square, down JFK St. and over the Charles River. Several bus routes make stops at Harvard Square as well. The 66 and 86 routes include stops on North Harvard Street in front of Harvard Stadium.

Football Parking

•Handicapped parking access is available through Gate 8. Cars wishing to utilize a handicapped spot must have a valid handicap placard visible and must also pay the gameday parking rate at the gate.

•Tailgating is permitted two hours prior to the game within athletic parking lots.

•Additional limited general admission parking is available at the Harvard Business School for $10.

•Commercial vehicles (U-Hauls), RV’s, Winnebago’s and trucks are not permitted in any parking facility. Corporate sampling, and promotional vehicles MUST have prior written permission by Harvard Athletic Marketing to enter any parking lot. Tailgating at Harvard Athletic Events

In an effort to provide a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for all fans and spectators, Harvard Athletics, in cooperation with the Harvard University Police Department has established the following policies regarding tailgating within the Soldier Field Athletic Complex. Harvard University is a great place to tailgate; however, rules are strictly enforced!

•Guests who park within the athletic complex (gates 8, 14, 16 and 20) are welcome to tailgate at their vehicles. Tailgating, however, is not permitted for fans parking in the Harvard Business School parking lot.

•All parking gates open two hours prior to kickoff for tailgating.

•Each vehicle is permitted one parking space and the area directly behind the vehicle for tailgating. You may not block aisles or other vehicles from parking.

•Commercial vehicles (U-hauls), RV’s, Winnebagos and trucks are not permitted in any parking facility. Corporate sampling, give-a-way, and promotional vehicles MUST have prior written permission by Harvard Athletic Marketing to enter any parking lot. •Tailgating is limited to two hours before and one hours after each game. There will be no tailgating after night games.

•Beer kegs and items that promote the rapid consumption of alcohol are not permitted at any University athletic function or event. No individual or group may transport a keg to a University athletic event.

•Grills using charcoal are prohibited within the athletic complex. The maximum propane gas cylinder size allowed will be 20 pounds.

Policies

Alcohol Policy

Harvard University does not permit kegs at any University athletic function or event. Vehicles and/or fans carrying amounts of alcohol above State Law will NOT be allowed within the complex. Unruly or visibly intoxicated behavior will be grounds for removal.

Recycling Policy

Harvard uses Single Stream Recycling, so all cans, bottles, paper and cardboard may go in the same bag (this includes solo cups and plastics #1-7). Recycling and trash bins will be located under the stadium and in the concession area, please place all recycling in the blue bag and all trash in the black bag. When done, leave the bags tied up on the ground, and they will be picked up after the game.

Fans engaging in inappropriate behavior including using foul language or engaging in negative verbal attacks on players, officials, coaches, or other fans may be asked to leave by security personnel.
