Princeton University Football Team Snaps Harvard Defense's Stingy Streak

Princeton became the first team to score against the Crimson defense since Sept. 26.

John Lovett’s 2-yard touchdown pass to Nick Peabody was the only score the Princeton University football team could manage in a 42-7 loss to Harvard on Saturday, according to espn.com.

It also snapped a string of 12 consecutive quarters in which no team had managed to find the end zone against the Crimson’s defense, according to the report. Harvard last allowed a touchdown in the fourth quarter of its 53-27 win over Brown on Sept. 26, when Kyle Moreno threw two touchdown passes for the Bears.

Harvard quarterback Scott Hosch threw for 437 yards and two touchdowns. The passing total was the third highest single game total for a Harvard quarterback.
