Princeton University Football Team Wins First Season Opener Since 2006
The Tigers defeated Lafayette, 40-7, on Saturday.

For the first time in nine years, the Princeton University football team is 1-0.
The Tigers accomplished this feat with a 40-7 win over Lafayette on Saturday, according to ESPN.
Quarterback Chad Kanoff passed for 256 yards and a 5-yard touchdown pass to Trevor Osborne that jump-started the scoring in the second quarter. After a scoreless first quarter, Princeton scored 23 in the second and never looked back.

John Lovett threw a 1-yard touchdown pass to Kurt Holuba with six seconds left in the second quarter. He then scored on a 1-yard touchdown pass in the third.
Dre Nelson scored on a 23-yard run and Joe Rhattigan scored on a 26-yard touchdown run.
