Earlier this week, freelance cameraman Ashoka Mukpo, 33, was cleared of the Ebola virus he contracted while covering an outbreak of the virus in Africa.

Mukpo contracted the disease while on assignment as part of a crew that included NBC Chief Medical Editor Dr. Nancy Snyderman, a Princeton resident.

The group agreed to voluntary isolation upon returning to America, but state health officials placed them under a mandatory quarantine after residents reported seeing Snyderman and her crew getting takeout.

The announcement that Snyderman wouldn’t return to work for a month comes after more than 1,000 people posted to Snyderman’s Facebook page saying they were angry and wouldn’t trust her again. Some suggested she should be fired or lose her medical license, according to The Associated Press.
