Princeton's At Home Store Closing For Good, Selling Remaining Inventory

PRINCETON, NJ — The At Home home décor and furniture store is closing and selling off all remaining inventory, according to a recorded message played when Patch called the store Tuesday, Aug. 4.

"Unfortunately, this store is closing, and we are selling all remaining items," the message said, directing customers to athome.com to shop or check inventory at other locations. The store will accept returns on purchases made before July 30.

The store, located at 301 Nassau Park Boulevard, had previously been spared from closure. At Home filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in June 2025, initially listing the Princeton location among 26 stores nationwide slated to close.

The company later reversed course on the store and one other location in Wisconsin, allowing both to remain open while other New Jersey locations, including Middletown Township and Ledgewood, closed permanently.

At Home cited weakening consumer demand, tariff-related cost pressures and debt from its 2021 leveraged buyout by Hellman & Friedman among the factors behind its bankruptcy filing.
