Princeton's Summer Youth Employment Program 2026 Is Now Accepting Applications

The 8-week paid summer program runs June 29 through Aug. 21 for Princeton-district students.

PRINCETON, NJ — Middle and high school students in the Princeton district have until April 24 to apply for a paid summer work program that offers hands-on job experience, career training and a paycheck.

The Summer Youth Employment Program, administered by the municipality's Human Services Department, is an eight-week employment program open to youth enrolled in a Princeton-district middle or high school who are eligible to apply for working papers. The 2026 program runs June 29 through Aug. 21.

The program offers entry-level work experience, job-readiness training and career development training to all applicants.

To be eligible, students must be enrolled in a Princeton-district school and able to obtain working papers by June 29. Participants must also commit to the full eight weeks, including all mandatory meetings. Household income must not exceed 400% of the 2026 Federal Poverty Level.

Applications will not be accepted online. The deadline for Summer 2026 is Friday, April 24, and applications will only be accepted at the Human Services office, located at 1 Monument Drive, upper level, Princeton.
