Restraining Order Prevents Institute From Beginning Faculty Housing Project in Princeton
The restraining order is pending the outcome of a lawsuit filed by the Princeton Battlefield Society.

A New Jersey State Judge has issued a temporary restraining order to prevent the Institute for Advanced Study from working on a faculty housing project pending the outcome of a lawsuit, the Princeton Packet reports.
The Princeton Battlefield Society has filed a lawsuit to prevent the construction of 15 housing units, according to the report.
The Institute said it would begin work, and if it lost the lawsuit, restore the site. The Princeton Battlefield Society rejected that argument, and the judge noted the Institute’s offer was unusual, as any restoration would result in a financial loss, according to the report.
