Roads Remain Closed In Aftermath Of Nor'easter: Princeton Police

The municipal building is also open as a warming center for those who lost heat.

PRINCETON, NJ — Many roads remained closed Saturday morning as crews cleared damage from Friday's nor'easter, according to the Princeton Police Department. The following roads were closed as of 9 a.m.:

  • Great Road is closed from Ridgeview to Cherry Valley. Drivers are advised to follow the posted detour;
  • Great Road is closed from Hodge Road to Route 206. The traffic light is out, and drivers are advised to avoid the area;
  • Riverside is closed from Prospect to Sycamore. A live wire is down, and drivers are advised to avoid the area';
  • Quaker Road is closed due to flooding and debris; and
  • Cleveland Lane is closed from Library Place to Elm Road. The traffic light is out, and drivers are advised to follow the posted detour.

Additionally, traffic lights are out at the following intersections:

  • Route 206 and Elm;
  • Stuart and Great Road; and
  • Rosedale and Elm.

Residents are asked not to move barricades, cones or other emergency devices because there may be unseen hazards. Drivers should find alternate routes.

Additionally, the Princeton municipal building is available to residents who may not currently have heat due to storm damage. Residents can stop by if they need to warm up, charge their phones, etc. The warming center will be located in the community room. Municipal Health Department personnel will be on hand from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
