Princeton, NJ — Runners and fitness enthusiasts of all levels, from beginners to seasoned
pros, are warmly invited to lace up their sneakers and join us on the historic streets of
Princeton for the annual HiTOPS Princeton Half Marathon. This inclusive event, set to take
place on Sunday, November 10, 2024, promises an exhilarating experience for everyone,
showcasing the beauty and charm of Princeton while supporting a great cause.
The HiTOPS Princeton Half Marathon, now in its 12th year, offers a unique and scenic 13.1
mile tour of Princeton that starts and ends a Paul Robeson Place. The iconic course,
located entirely in the heart of historic Princeton, runs through Princeton Battlefield,
Institute for Advanced Study, past the home of Einstein, Princeton University, the Princeton
Boathouse on Lake Carnegie Westminster Choir College, Mount Lucas, and Herrontown
Woods. This is a journey that will not only challenge experienced runners but also provide a
fulfilling accomplishment for newcomers, empowering all participants to reach their goals.
All proceeds from the HiTOPS Princeton Half Marathon benefit HiTOPS. HiTOPS is a
nonprofit organization based in Princeton, New Jersey, that empowers young people of all
identities with sex education, social support, and communities that affirm them. For 37
years, HiTOPS has been a champion of young people, providing youth-informed programs

This year Fleet Feet – Princeton is offering a groundbreaking training program tailored for
the HiTOPS Princeton half marathon. Regardless of your age or running experience, the
goal is to equip every participant with the tools and support needed to excel in their racing
journey. Led by the seasoned professionals of Fleet Feet - Princeton, boasting decades of
collective running and walking expertise, this program offers personalized guidance and
invaluable insights. Engage in enriching one-on-one interactions with local Physical
Therapists, Brand Representatives, and gain exclusive access to a Fleet Feet Swag Bag.
The training program is offered at $175 per participant and starts on August 17th.
“We are thrilled to see our community come out to support the runners and the youth we
serve!” shared HiTOPS Director of Advancement Judy Walker. “We not only seek runners,
but also business sponsors and volunteers. Hundreds of hands work together to make this
event the highlight of our year!”

As of July 26th, eight people have signed up to run their 12th HiTOPS Princeton Half marathon
including Alison Lockman, Andrew Gow, Eric Hamblet, Gareth Funka-Lea, Gillian Cannon, Larry
Kanter, Mark Boulding and Rick Herwig.
HiTOPS also offers the option to run virtually, logging miles over a 2-week period, as well as
a youth run for those under 18.
Registration continues until race day, but spaces are limited, so sign up early to secure
