School Pulls Milk Brand From Cafeteria After Mercer Co. Issues Alert

Hamilton School District removed all cartons of a milk brand after Camden students were hospitalized from drinking contaminated milk.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — After dozens of students in Camden were hospitalized for consuming contaminated milk, a local school district pulled the milk brand from its cafeteria.

The Hamilton Township School District on Wednesday decided to remove all Guida's brand milk cartons from the school cafeteria after the County issued an alert.

“We are aware of the possibility of contaminated milk in another school district. When our food service provider was made aware of the situation they immediately pulled all milk by that brand from our food service,” school Superintendent Scott R Rocco told district families in an update late Wednesday evening.
