Second Sunday Poetry Reading At Princeton Makes Sept. 11

PRINCETON, NJ — Artist cooperative Princeton Makes and local publisher Ragged Sky Press, will host a Second Sunday Poetry Reading on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 4 p.m. The readings will take place at the Princeton Makes store in the Princeton Shopping Center.

The September reading will feature Margaret Ray and Arlene Weiner. Their readings will be followed by an open mic for up to 10 audience members who would like to read their original poetry.

Ray is the author of "Good Grief, the Ground" and "Superstitions of the Mid-Atlantic." Her poems have appeared in Best New Poets 2021, Threepenny Review, Narrative, and other publications. A winner of the Third Coast Poetry Prize, Jay holds an MFA from Warren Wilson College and teaches in New Jersey.

Weiner's poetry collections, "Escape Velocity" (2006) and "City Bird" (2016), were published by Ragged Sky Press. Weiner is a member of U.S. 1 Poets' Cooperative and of several poetry groups in Pittsburgh, where she lives. She has also held a MacDowell fellowship and writes plays.
