Severely Burned Body Found Near Cemetery In Mercer County: Prosecutor

Police found the body near a cemetery at Clover Avenue in Hamilton, authorities said.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — The body of a severely burned unidentified person was found near a cemetery in Mercer County early on Tuesday morning, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said.

Around 6:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Hamilton police received a call from someone in the area of Clover Avenue who saw what appeared to be human remains near the cemetery, Onofri said. Police arrived and found a severely burned dead person.

An autopsy is pending. The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Hamilton Police Division are investigating, Onofri said.
