Speeding, Bike Lane, Stop Sign Violations Targeted In Princeton's May Traffic Enforcement

Princeton's Traffic Safety and Patrol bureaus will conduct directed enforcement at several locations across town. See list below:

PRINCETON, NJ — Princeton police will conduct directed traffic enforcement on several streets throughout May, targeting speeding, bicycle lane violations, and other motor vehicle offenses, authorities said.

The Traffic Safety Bureau and Patrol Bureau will focus enforcement efforts on the following locations:

  • Hamilton Ave./Linden Lane (speeding, stop sign violations)
  • S. Harrison St. (safe passing law — bicyclists)
  • N. Harrison St. (bicycle lane violations)
  • Princeton-Kingston Road (speeding)
  • Central Business District (bikes/scooters prohibited on certain sidewalks)

Residents can expect an increased police presence in those areas, with strict enforcement of motor vehicle laws,
police said.
