St. Francis Medical Center Honored by Interfaith Caregivers
The non-profit organization honored St. Francis as one of three awardees at its 11th annual Shining Lights Gala

The Interfaith Caregivers of Greater Mercer County recently honored St. Francis Medical Center as one of three awardees at its 11th annual Shining Lights Gala at the Stone Terrace in Hamilton.
Interfaith Caregivers of Mercer County is a nonprofit organization based in Mercer County. Together with various partner congregations, Interfaith recruits, trains and manages volunteer caregivers who assist with everyday tasks, including transportation to appointments, assistance with grocery shopping and errands, and providing companionship through phone calls and friendly visits. Interfaith relies on charitable support from the community to advance its mission.
For more than 15 years, St. Francis has a history of supporting the agency’s mission to serve homebound elderly and people with disabilities. The missions of the two organizations are aligned in serving the community, leading many St. Francis colleagues to become volunteers and caregivers for Interfaith over the years.

“We are honored to be recognized by Interfaith Caregivers of Greater Mercer County,” said Dan Moen, President, St. Francis Medical Center. “Our mission began with the Sisters of St. Francis more than 140 years ago to care for the sick, poor and underserved. It is central to our work at St. Francis, and to who we are as health care providers. By working with Interfaith, we have a common purpose and commitment, and can increase our efforts to help those who in need, including the elderly, disabled and homebound, receive the care they need. I thank Interfaith and our staff for their commitment.”
Also honored at the event were Glen Eagle Advisors Kathy and Anthony Lo Bue. Musical entertainment at the event was provided by Ciaran Sheehan, Irish-born actor and producer.
