St. Francis Medical Center Supports “Go Red for Women” Campaign

February is American Heart Month

St. Francis Medical Center is a proud supporter of the American Heart Association’s (AHA) “Go Red for Women” campaign. The campaign designates February 1 as “Go Red for Women Day,” and aims to raise awareness about women's heart health.

Heart disease and stroke kills one in three women in the U.S., but it is 80 percent preventable, according to the AHA.

On February 1, St. Francis colleagues wore red or a “Go Red” dress pin to support the cause. A raffle was also held in the St. Francis cafeteria to raise money for AHA research.
