State Sen. President Sweeney Visits Princeton University

Stephen Sweeney visited Molecular Biology Professor Yibin Kang, who is researching the molecular basis for the spread of Cancer.

State Sen. President Stephen Sweeney paid a visit to Princeton University this week to visit a lab where researchers are conducting Cancer research.

Sweeney visited the lab of Molecular Biology Professor Yibin Kang, who is researching the molecular basis for the spread of Cancer.

Kang’s research is part of a total of $4.4 million in grants the New Jersey Commission on Cancer Research has awarded the University since 1997. Kang has received $667,516 of that money.

“If you look through this lab, the world is here. Everyone is from a different place in the world, but together the combined brainpower is creating amazing outcomes,” Sweeney said in a story posted on the University’s website. “It’s an enormous return on investment, plus it’s actually really making a difference.”
