Student From Littlebrook, Princeton Tests Positive For COVID-19
The student was last on campus on Nov. 17. However, no close contacts have been identified and no other student required to quarantine.

PRINCETON, NJ — A student from Littlebrook Elementary School, Princeton tested positive for COVID-19, but no close contacts were identified, said Superintendent Barry Galasso in an email.
The Princeton Health Department reviewed the case and no other student from Littlebrook is required to quarantine.
The student was last on campus on Nov.17, but was not symptomatic until Nov. 20. The school district was informed of the student’s diagnosis on Sunday.

“The student will not be in class this week and will continue to quarantine for a minimum of 14 days,” Galasso said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Princeton Public Schools will be going remote for a week after Thanksgiving, to avoid any spread of COVID-19.

The school district will return to hybrid schedule on Dec. 7. The decision was made in last week’s Board of Education meeting.
"As confirmed cases of COVID-19 rise in the community, we are concerned that the number of staff and students who may need to quarantine after Thanksgiving will make it difficult for PPS to operate schools," Galasso had said in a statement.
Galasso said the extra week after Thanksgiving will give the district time to ensure they can re-start the hybrid program in a safe way, while allowing staff and students to quarantine.
So far, Princeton Public Schools has not had any COVID-19 transmission within school buildings, said Galasso.
