The following is a summary of incidents as reported by Princeton Police:
PRINCETON, NJ - On Sept. 24, at 11:43 p.m., a Princeton Police officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on Nassau Street after observing a vehicle being operated with a damaged tire and disregarding traffic signals. The driver, an Elizabeth resident, was found to be driving while intoxicated. She was arrested and taken to police headquarters for processing. She was issued summonses for driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, careless driving, failure to observe a traffic control device, failure to possess a driving insurance card, unsafe vehicle, tire equipment, and failure to pull over for an emergency vehicle. The 38-year-old was subsequently released to a sober adult.
On Sept. 24, Princeton Police arrested a 62-year-old woman in connection with a shoplifting incident reported at a supermarket located on North Harrison Street. The investigation determined that the Princeton resident shoplifted grocery items valued at $30.03 on Sept. 22. The woman was charged with shoplifting, and she was subsequently transported to the Mercer County Correctional Center and turned over to their custody.

On Sept. 24, Princeton Police investigated a reported shoplifting incident at a business on Nassau Street. The investigation revealed that on Sept. 23, an unidentified woman allegedly stole items valued at $24. This investigation remains ongoing.
On Sept. 25, Princeton Police investigated a reported shoplifting incident at a business on Hulfish Street. The investigation revealed that an unidentified female suspect stole six clothing items valued at $768. The investigation remains ongoing.

On Sept. 25, Princeton Police investigated a reported bicycle theft at an apartment complex on Terhune Road. The victim reported that a Specialized S-Works Enduro bicycle valued at approximately $10,000 and a bicycle lock valued at $40 were stolen from a bicycle rack sometime between Sept. 11 and Sept. 24. The investigation remains ongoing.
On Sept. 25, 2, Princeton Police investigated a reported theft at a residence on Greenland Court. The victim reported that approximately $10,000 in cash and a metal lock box valued at $25 were missing from a secured basement room. The investigation remains ongoing.
On Sept. 25, Princeton Police investigated a reported theft at a home on Bank Street. The victim reported that a gold chain with a Star of David and an anchor pendant, valued at approximately $5,000, went missing sometime on Sept. 23. The investigation remains ongoing.
On Sept. 26, Princeton Police investigated a reported counterfeit currency incident at a business on Nassau Street. The investigation revealed that an unidentified man used counterfeit $20 bills during a currency exchange and, through a series of transactions, left the business with legitimate currency, resulting in an estimated loss of $140. The investigation remains ongoing.
On Sept. 27, Princeton Police investigated a reported theft and forgery incident at a business on Nassau Street. The investigation revealed that two unidentified male suspects were involved in an incident in which one suspect provided a $100 bill for a purchase and received $91.05 in change. The second suspect later replaced the $100 bill with five counterfeit $20 bills while the cashier was away from the register. Both suspects left the business, resulting in a reported monetary loss of $91.05. The investigation remains ongoing.
