Trenton Museum Society to Showcase Watercolors at Ellarslie
Garden State Watercolor Society Returns for 49th Annual Juried Exhibit
Garden State Watercolor Society's 49th Annual Juried Exhibit will be hosted by Trenton Museum Society’s Ellarslie Museum in Cadwalader Park. The exhibit will be open November 16, 2018 – January 20, 2019. Entries by NJ, NY, PA, and DE artists, 18 and over, were submitted through October 21st.
The exhibition was juried by James Toogood, the internationally known New Jersey artist. James teaches painting at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and is a member of the AWS, NWS, AAA and GSWS. His hyperrealistic paintings have won numerous awards. He has contributed to over twenty art books and magazines. He is the author of “Incredible Light and Texture in Watercolor.”

- November 16: Artists and Member’s Reception, with $5000 in cash and prizes to be announced
- December 8: Gallery Walk and Special Sale Event “Art in the Palm of Your Hand”
- January 6: Live painting demo in which four artists create four paintings awarded to lucky raffle winners
- January 13: Artist Talk “Painting from Photos” by award winning artist, Richard Hoffman
- January 20: Artist Demonstration by award winning artist, Marilyn Rose, before close of the exhibit

All works in the show are for sale with 40% commission to benefit the Trenton Museum Society and Garden State Watercolor Society.
