Trucker Killed In Fatal Mercer County Crash Thursday Morning: NJSP

Franklin S. Parker of Maryland was killed after his truck hit a guardrail, overturned and struck a concrete bridge support, police said.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — A truck driver was killed early Thursday morning when his tractor-trailer struck a guardrail and overturned on NJ Turnpike north in Mercer County, New Jersey State Police said.

At 3:43 a.m. on Thursday morning, state troopers responded to the New Jersey Turnpike milepost 63.4, in Robbinsville on reports of a crash.

Franklin S. Parker, 36, was driving a tractor-trailer in the area of milepost 63.4, when the tractor-trailer entered the left shoulder, struck the guardrail, overturned, and hit a concrete bridge support, police said.

Parker a resident of Eden, Maryland, sustained fatal injuries, police said. The crash remains under investigation.
