Police Called After 'Unauthorized Individual' Enters Mercer Co. High School
The person was taken to a local hospital for further crisis and medical evaluation, according to authorities.
MERCER COUNTY, NJ – Police were called to West Windsor High School (South) on Thursday morning after an “unauthorized individual” entered the building, authorities said.
Administration and security at High School South found the person in the building and “recognized” their need for medical support. Officials escorted the individual to the nurse’s office, Superintendent David Aderhold said.
As a precaution, additional police were called for assistance. The individual was escorted out of the building and taken to the hospital for further crisis and medical evaluation, according to authorities.

“The quick response and recognition of medical needs of the individual is a testament to the training, care and concern exhibited by the HSS staff,” Aderhold said in a statement. “These staff members were able to ensure the security and safety of HSS students and staff, while simultaneously supporting the medical needs of the individual.”
No injuries or threat of any kind was reported by authorities.
