Mary Pat Christie, the first lady of New Jersey has created a scholarship for high school students who are strong academically, but also put in a lot of volunteer hours, according to a report from Chasing NJ on My9.
The Spirit of a Hero’s Scholarship Award Ceremony and Luncheon was held in the governor’s official residency in Princeton, with 22 were selected to receive $5000 to put towards their education after high school, according to the Chasing New NJ My9 report.
