Vuojolainen 12th In Pole Vault At State Track & Field Championships

Meet postponed due to severe weather will resume on Monday.

Princeton High School senior Rebekka Vuojolainen placed 12th in the pole vault Thurssday at State Track & Field Championships. Vuojolainen jumped 10-feet 6-inches which was a 6-inch improvement from her best jump at the group meet last weekend.

The meet was postponed due to severe weather during the seeded heat of the boys 3200 meter run and with some field events also not completed.

The meet is scheduled to resume Monday at 6 p.m. at Old Bridge's Lombardi Field. Events to be completed include the boys and girls 3200, 4x400 relays, boys shot put, boys long jump, girls triple jump and girls javelin.

For Princeton, Elyssa Gensib will return to compete in the 3200. The boys long jump also did not finish with Princeton's Eric Shorter competing.
